Everything in Alertee — connections, checks, alert groups, the Inbox — belongs to an organization. You can belong to more than one, and switch between them from the organization switcher.

Inviting teammates

Go to Settings → Team → Invite Member. Enter their email and pick a role. They get an email with a link to join; the invitation expires after 7 days. If it lapses, use Resend next to the pending invite. You can change a member’s role or remove them from the same Team page.
The invitation link is tied to the address you invited. When the invitee creates their account, the email is locked to that address, so they can’t accidentally sign up under a different one. (Casing and surrounding spaces are ignored.) If someone signs in with the wrong account, the accept screen offers to sign out and retry with the right email.

Requesting access

If someone lands on your workspace without an invite, they see a Request access screen instead of a dead end. They enter their email (and an optional message), and your organization’s Owners and Admins get an email notification. Pending requests show up under Settings → Team → Access Requests, where an Admin or Owner can Approve (which sends a normal invitation for the chosen role) or Deny. The section only appears when there’s something waiting. Signed-in users who aren’t members of a workspace can request access too, using the email they’re signed in with.

Roles

A few guardrails: an organization always keeps at least one Owner (you can’t remove or demote the last one), and only an Owner can promote someone to Owner.
Invitations are sent as Member or Admin. Owner is granted by an existing Owner promoting a member.

Creating an organization

Create one from the organization switcher (Create Organization), or from the CLI / an AI agent:
The creator becomes the Owner. See the CLI reference and MCP tools (create_organization) for the full surface.

Leaving an organization

Any member can remove themselves under Settings → Team → Leave organization — you don’t need an admin to do it for you. You lose access immediately and can be re-invited later. If you’re the only Owner, you can’t leave an organization with no one in charge. The leave dialog asks you to pick another member to take over as Owner; it promotes them and removes you in one step. If you’re also the only member, delete the organization instead of leaving it.
